Account Deletion
You can delete your Michi account at any time.
In the app
- Open Michi and go to your profile.
- Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account is deactivated immediately. Permanent deletion completes within 30 days.
By email
If you can't access the app, email contact@michi.quest from the address linked to your Google or Apple sign-in so we can verify the account is yours. We'll confirm by reply within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and account credentials
- Your plan history and group chat messages
- Your friend connections
- Your verification records (after the 30-day window)
What stays
- Plans you hosted remain visible to attendees, but with your name and profile removed.
- Anonymized aggregate analytics (counts, not individual records) may be retained.
Data export before deletion
If you want a copy of your data, request an export first (Settings → Privacy → Request export). We email a download link within 7 days. Then proceed with deletion.
